Chaton Laveur – Contre-La-Montre

Liège duo Chaton Laveur returns with “Contre-La-Montre”, the first single from their second album Labyrinthe, coming March 2026 via EXAG’ Records. The track builds a bridge between German Krautrock and contemporary indie pop.

Dynamic bass and mechanical drums collide with obsessive, repetitive guitars while captivating keyboard and vocal melodies float above the unforgiving rhythm section. The duo transforms anxiety about passing time into something immersive and cathartic—minimalist yet rich, repetitive yet captivating, urgent yet meditative. Soft French vocals reveal darker edges beneath the hypnotic rhythms and analogue sounds.

Recorded at Studio Claudio in Paris with Vincent Hivert (En Attendant Ana) and Margaux Bouchaudon, mixed by Tommy Desmedt, and mastered by Remy Lebbos at Rare Sound Studio. Benjamin Franssen created the artwork, Julien Trousson shot the pictures. Chaton Laveur opts for the shortest route every time—raw and authentic, prowling the depths of minimalism searching for light, intoxicating melodies.

After more than 70 dates across France, Germany, Benelux, and the UK, the duo invites listeners to let time be what it is and focus on what really counts: being together.
